The Dundee Hills Food Forest is a tiny family farm located in the heart of Oregon's wine country. Our goal is to build a balance between the natural ecosystem around us and the food producing system we are creating. Observation and adaptation are the keys to our success. Join us on our journey as we establish a place where healthy food is the result of working with nature's perfect design.
Raised in Helena, Montana, John has always had a passion for growing plants. He helped his mother in his childhood yard and designed his own garden bed as a teen in his backyard complete with pathways, trees, flowers and a small pond. In his mid twenties he began building a small herb and vegetable garden at his rental house in the Portland suburbs. Over 5 growing seasons he developed a diverse and highly functioning garden. His vision is a driving force behind the development of the food forest and his passion to effect change keeps him motivated.
